Tony Smith Jazzmen 27/01/16 - Every now and again an historical gem turns up, and Joe Silmon has tracked down his old vinyl recording he last saw in Spain, with the help of his great niece over there. She has unearthed the Tony Smith Jazzmen Broadcast, recorded at Studio 1, at the BBC in Piccadilly Manchester on 5th February 1962. It features Tony Smith (tpt/ldr), George Radcliffe (tbn), Joe Silmon (clt), John Featherstone (pno), Moe Green (dms), Bob Ascough (bjo) and Bob Leaver (d/bs).
