Rod Hamer
05/09/19 - Dear Mr Burnett, I do not know if you have an obituaries page for your site, but I have some sad news that may be of interest to you and your readers. My father, Rod Hamer, a Dixieland trumpet player born in Bury in 1940 passed away peacefully on Saturday night. He played on the Manchester scene before re-locating to the south of England where he continued to play on the London scene until his health stopped him in about 2007. If you think this would be of interest to any of your readers, or any players that may have know him I’d be grateful if you might consider mentioning it in a tweet or something you consider appropriate. Kind regards - Alistair Hamer". I'm still working out how I can reply direct!
