THE PENINSULA JAZZMEN

The Peninsula Jazzmen have been playing on a Tuesday at the Heswall Royal British Legion Jazz Club for over 20 years. They play every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 8.00 to 10.30pm.

They have been playing since 1984 and will be celebrating their 40th Anniversary, this year in 2024. Sadly, there are only two of the original musicians still playing. The band is composed of well-known local musicians as follows:

Dave Dixson - Clarinet, Soprano & Alto Sax (leader)
Mike Swift - Banjo & Guitar
Brian Woods - Drums
Andrew MacKenzie - Trombone
Dino Ravera - Double Bass

The Peninsula also perform at private and public events and they are very popular to listen and dance to as they play a happy Dixieland style.
