The Oriole Jazz Band 13/11/12 - Hi Fred, I didn't know I had it, my mother used to cut out things like this to keep. It's not long since Alwyn Smith remarked that he recalled The Oriole and that he thought Eric Brierley was playing with us, but here at the Y.M.C.A notice it is Rod Hopton, maybe Eric played with us at Ye Olde Clock Face in Rochdale. I also remember playing on a
float in the parade at Bury Carnival, probably earlier in 1957 when
Stan Stennett played with us.
