Life long pal of the great Roy Williams, played with many great jazzmen i.e. George Chisholme, Stephen Grappelli, Roy Williams. Played in New Orleans with several local bands. Ian Royle - Trumpet. From Manchester one of the very best jazz trumpeters in the North and in much demand with many jazz outfits. His fluid style is augmented by a Pleasant singing voice. He led his own band for many years. Ian is a prominent figure in many jazz festivals in the country. Howard Murray - Tenor Sax/Clarinet. Howard hails from Manchester, and is one of the regions best reeds man. Plays regularly with the popular Parade Jazz Band. Founder member of Manchesters Harlem Hot Stompers. Mike Reddin - Guitar/Banjo. Mike is from Manchester and a leading jazz guitarist, much sought after for gigs on the northern scene. Has played with many of the top jazz stars. Derek Brown Double Bass. Derek hails from Preston and is well known on the jazz north west scene. A top man in the Arvell Shaw style. Noel Broadgate - Piano. Noel has been on the jazz scene for many years and his experience is greatly valued. His favourite band is Eddie Condon and pianist Gene Schroeder his idol. Grant Hogan Taylor - Drums. Grants swinging drum style is in much demand for Dixieland gigs and drives the ensemble with verve and is also an excellent pianist. Grant lives in Prestwich, Manchester.
