The next regular appearance by the band was scheduled for Tuesday 3rd September, at the Royal British Legion Club at Mossley Hill, Liverpool, and this has now been cancelled out of respect. 29/08/13 -  I heard yesterday evening about the suddenly death of Dennis Harrison whom I have known personally for over 30 years. All the Merseysippi are very shocked and saddened too. He hadn't been retired from the teaching profession for very long and he was a lot younger than myself, mid 60s probably. We would like to send our sympathy to his wife and family.

Peter Fryer.

31/08/13 - Awful news. I've known Dennis since the 1970s, when we were both young musicians around the Merseyside scene - can't believe it. On behalf of myself, The Rioters and Speakeasy Bootleg Band, let me convey our collective shock and sympathy to his family and musical colleagues at this horrible time. It's still sinking in.
