ANYTHING GOES SWING TRIO
Around 2014 ANYTHING GOES Swing trio was formed. Since November 2018 the trio
has been performing every other week at THE STONEWELL TAP in Lancaster at 5pm.
It has proved to be quite successful with 20-30 attendees, most of whom
are regulars, and some performing Guests. In this period we have increased the
quota of jazz tunes considerably so I think it fitting that we now join the
JazzNorthWest Band Spotlight Page. We also have had a few gigs round and
about, including Liverpool and one in the lovely St Mary's church at Bamber
Bridge. We play at the Stonewell every 2 weeks on Thursdays, so check out
What's On for our next date and any other events.
Since the lockdown lift we have been really busy, 13 gigs in all I think. I
consider were very lucky. Since prof. Davids death in March. David Bateman has
moved from Bass to Guitar and Banjo, Gerry Clayton has joined us on bass.
Recently we have had the services of Jeff Widdowson on bass. Yes we are
back at THE STONEWELL every other Thursday 5pm.the next is the 4th. Nov. -
